Young prospects are always exciting to watch, whether it’s a young player from a high school or a college ballplayer, eventually some of the best youth baseball players make it to the MLB draft.

Here are the top 10 draft prospects as of right now:

Travis Bazzana

Bazzana is a unique second baseman, he hits from the left side of the plate but throws with his right hand. Bazzana stands 6 feet tall and weighs 199 pounds and is known for his strength and bat speed at the plate. At the plate he has a good hitting approach and can hit fine against both lefties and righties. Although some scouts worry about his performance defensively, other scouts think he will be just fine at second base as his athleticism and skills helps him at second base.

This year through 60 games and 214 at bats, he has hit for .407 BA, .568 OBP, .911 SLG, 1.479 OPS, and 28 home runs.

But it isn’t debatable that Caglianone is the best two-way player in the nation as of right now. Although having impressive skills on the mound, some scouts prefer his hitting more than his pitching. Caglianone is an aggressive hitter who doesn’t strike out much and makes good contact, but he has a tendency to chase pitches out of the zone. He has solid defense at first base as well.

This year through 60 games and 239 at bats he has hit for .414 BA, .536 OBP, .862 SLG, 1.398 OPS, 68 RBIs and 33 home runs. On the mound he recorded an ERA of 4.71, 72.2 IP, 82 SO, 48 BB, 1.500 WHIP, and has only allowed 10 home runs.
